The Experience

Restaurant Capelin is a small, chef-led tasting menu restaurant in St. Catharines, Ontario, offering an intimate pescatarian dining experience featuring Ontario lake fish, and seasonal ingredients.

At Restaurant Capelin, dining is an act of connection. To place, to producers, and to one another. With only 11 seats, our space is intimate by design, and each evening unfolds as a shared story.

Our tasting menu celebrates what’s available in any given season, and reflects our commitment to sustainability, creativity, and respect for every ingredient we use.

We aim to waste as little as possible, to showcase the whole ingredient, and to honour the craft of those who grow, catch, and produce the products we share each evening.

Our wine program draws inspiration from the same soil and climate as our ingredients. Featuring Ontario’s most expressive vineyards, our pairings are designed to enhance the flavours of the menu and deepen your connection to this region.
